Nightingale

• The Nightingales are made for apartments and small/medium listening areas. More importantly, the Nightingales are speakers with great aesthetics and come with very high WAF (Wife Approval Factor) due to its slim design. There is a downward firing port at bottom for the speakers; this enables the Nightingales for easy placement against walls - another plus point for audiophiles with limited listening space.

• Voices and instruments are clearly separated and well defined, and seemed project a natural shape and depth. This indicates that the soundstage, transparency and separation were excellent. The music extends naturally beyond the speaker boundaries. The bass packed a surprising punch for a speaker of this size and weight. But what we really like about the Nightingales is that it allows the listener to be totally involved with the music as they disappear into the background.

Epiphony
• It is noteworthy that the Epiphony is part of the system that won Stereophile's Ultra-Affordable Sound of HE2004 in New York.

• In terms of bass, the Epiphony lacks deep low bass, but its mid bass is well controlled and defined. But if you really listen and think about the bass that Epiphony produces, it is extremely deep for a pair of speakers this size.
